Join us on Saturday May 4th for a Community Celebration to highlight the Sunset Community!

At the beginning of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we’re hosting a community block party to celebrate our Asian American diaspora and share new resources in the community. We will also have an unveiling ceremony at 2 p.m. of the new Parkside mural, “Together on Taraval.”

The event will be held on 22nd Avenue at Taraval Street, by Riji Cafe and have activities for all ages! The San Francisco Public Library will return for more free books and activities. Mahjong Movement will have a booth to play and teach Mahjong. Enjoy dozens of other activities and games, including giant Chinese Chess, calligraphy, and caricature drawings, and you can earn a stamp towards our scavenger hunt for a free voucher! Performances will begin from 12:30pm to the end of the event at 4pm with Lion Dancing to bring luck and prosperity to the new mural at 2:30!
